Melaveh Malka - TEEM Productions.

From what I heard, the melaveh malka was a success and a wonderful night of music. There are some videos of the event, however I suggest closing your eyes and just listening to them. The footage was terribly shaky and made me dizzy. Werdyger, Taussig & Gestetner sounded particularly great together!

Here's the least shaky video I could find... still kind of shaky throughout. I'd suggest a tripod next time!

Coming soon from TEEM productions is Shloime Gertner 2 - Say Asay! (but I'm sure you know that already :D)

New Lipa Song

I'm personally not a fan of Lipa, mostly because of the language barrier. I just don't understand yiddish. He is a great entertainer though! Here's a new song sung by him at a melava malka. It will be featured on his upcoming album.

On Motzei Shabbos during a Mekimi's Anual Volunteer Reunion event, Lipa Schmeltzer surprised the audience with a brand new song.
The song which is called "Ein Git Vort" will be on his upcoming album and was composed by Sholi Grossman from Monsey who has been a big help to Lipa throughout his previous albums.
The song in Yiddish, describes the power each and every one of us possess, the power of speech.
As people tend at times to forget or altogether underestimate the power of the tongue, we must be reminded the verbal power we each have. What one Git Vort can accomplish and Chulilia the harm one Shelcht Vort can do!

JMDerech Experience - Ari Baumann

Motzei shabbos and time to for another review. Ari Baumann & Singers were to be singing at a Bat Mitzvah in Long Beach. I was driving from Monsey, where I had stayed for shabbos and was excited to hear Ari play. Baumann has been in the business for 20 some years now and is an expert when it comes to playing keyboard for simchas. He was kind enough to let me film him and I even sang on the microphone briefly, which was not recorded, but maybe next time. We shmoozed between his breaks and play time and he’s a very pleasant person and is passionate about his work.

His actual performance on the keys was terrific. It’s impossible to capture the magic that occurred that night and if I could show the excitement in the air and how into the music the girls from the bat mitzvah were, I would have (tzenua factor). But the girls loved him, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and all in all, it was one of the better motzei shabbosos I’ve had in a while.

I would recommend hiring him for a simcha, but that’s your call.

Hadrash V'horaayon Box Set

The Tenenbaum Family Presents a new box set that includes:

An Insightful Sefer, Hadrash V'horaayon.

A Two Song CD by TeeM Productions, Arranged By Yisroel Lamm. Sung by Mo Kiss Kids Choir & The Shira Choir. Which includes a booklet and explanation and history of where the music comes from.

A beautiful 125 page magazine, "The World That Was: Poland." Remembering Ger, Chachmei Lublin and Survival in Russia. With interviews and the story of R' Michoel Tenenbaum.

Here is a bio of R' Michoel Tenenbaum, Author of Hadrash V'Horaayon

R' Michoel Tenenbaum, born in Rozan, Poland in 1912, went on to become one of the most prominent Gerrer chassidim worldwide. At a young age he left home to study in larger Torah institutions – first in the Novardok yeshiva of Ostrolenko, then in Lomza. At the young age of 17 he merited acceptan'ce into the famous Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin, despite the rigorous entrance examinations, requiring expertise in at least 200 folios of the Gemara. For four years the young R’ Michoel was a disciple of the renowned Lubliner Rov, Rabbi Meir Shapiro, zt"l, who stood at the head of the yeshiva.

Soon after the outbreak of WWII, R’ Michoel fled with his wife and daughter to Russia, where he survived the war. Following the hostilities, he returned first to Poland, then to an Austrian DP camp where he lived for two years. With his growing family, R’ Michoel arrived in the U.S., settling in the early 1950’s in the Borough Park section of New York. Before long Mr. Tenenbaum had become a successful businessman, all the while throwing his efforts and resources into the development of the empire of Gerrer Chassidus and its Torah institutions – both in New York and in Israel. After an illustrious life, R’ Michoel passed away in 2003, leaving behind progeny who carry on his legacy of serving Klal Yisrael.

Please enjoy the sampler below, and also see attached artwork included here. You will be able to purchase this product in Judaica stores near you, later this week.
