Dovid Stein - Muvtach Lo

Dovid Stein is and Eli Gerstner Production. What to expect is electric guitar on fast songs, and gorgeous but also heart pumping slow songs. A lot of Gerstner's music is more from the Guf than the Neshama. Yet, he still has many songs from the Neshama.
Dovid Stein has an incredible voice, very powerful. Think MBD, Pruz, and Gerstner when you hear him. He can get Gerstner style froggy at time, but he has the "umph" that MBD and Pruz put in their songs. You can buy the CD here

Breakdown
  • Muvtach Lo - This song is very energetic, the low part is typical Gerstner at his best, the mid flows very well and the high part is the clincher. Very powerful and very good to drive to. 10 of 10
  • Ki Bochar - The chorus on this song sound similar to the low part of Ki Ya'akov on SameachAtTheWheel2. It's by far my favorite fast song on the CD. It's one of the two Non- "typical Gerstner style" fast songs. 10 of 10
  • Ki Ato Hu - This has the same beat for an intro as L'maan Achai from the Chevra 3. It features Yossi Green and the song is done very well. Not the best slow song on the CD but still solid 9 of 10
  • Melech - Typical Gerstner song on the high part, which I'm not fond of at all. The low part is very very "chiller style," which happens to rock. 7 of 10
  • Vahaviosim - Good slow song, Dovid shows his vocal range in this song. 8 of 10
  • Neerah - A freilach for a chassuna, done very well. I wouldn't mind dancing to this in a big circle. =) 8 of 10
  • Hashem Yimloch - Lil' Gerstner is a guest soloist here. The keys are ridiculous and sometimes not real. It is such a HUGE Gerstner song. I don't think there is any Neshama in this song. It feels like something that would be played at a High School prom. Sounds great, but leaves you feeling icky. 5 of 10
  • Letav Avid - The "chazzanos" in the beggining are very cool. The song reminds me of a mix between, Hu Yiftach from Tek-Noy and Yehi Chavod from V'eshey Yisrael. It's decent 7 of 10
  • Sheemah - Very Hartzidik, I love this song. Great for a kumzits if you lower the key. 10 of 10
  • R'Yochanan - Very Lebedig song, Reminds of Dedi for some reason but it's still very pleasant on the ears. 9 of 10
  • Achas - Gorgeous Chassuna slow song. He shows you his incredible range once again in this song. 10 of 10
  • Lazer's Niggun - I don't get tired of this song for some reason. Even though, I heard it before on YBCLive II, it's still good. 10 of 10
